Like Hollywood\u2019s \u201cCasting Couch\u201d before the \u201cMe Too\u201d taboo, work stolen is not Once Upon a Time.<\/p>\r\n<p>Writer Jack Piuggi of Flipp Productions claims he has hours of legally admissible audio\/video footage. His lawyer Robert Hantman \u2014 who has sued Steven Seagal, Magic Johnson, Don King, Danny DeVito \u2014 has filed a David vs. Goliath lawsuit in US District Court, Southern District of New York, alleging Piuggi\u2019s \u201cInstafamous\u201d osmosed into cable shows \u201cFake Famous\u201d and \u201cFBoy Island.\u201d<\/p>\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/creativedevops.com\/jack\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/NYPICHPDPICT000010818825.jpg\" alt=\"Image\" \/>\r\n<p>Piuggi says it goes something like this: Funneling ideas they\u2019ve heard, independent contractors filing 1099s remain work-for-hires not house employees. Studios thus say, \u201cWe were unaware of this person\u2019s actions. They don\u2019t work for the company. We were never informed.\u201d Or, \u201cThis is a parallel idea \u2014 the term for a supposed coincidence that more than one person has that same idea and thus cannot be accused of theft.\u201d<\/p>\r\n<p>It\u2019s three card monte.<\/p>\r\n<p>Piuggi claims: \u201cI [can] prove that these ideas were mine. I even suggested actors. Garrett Morosky, later cast to star in one of these shows, told me: \u2018We know they stole your show.\u2019 I recorded that, too.\u201d.<\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Write &amp; wrong?
